Kathleen Lowry

Kathleen Lowry is project manager for the EDA Sprint Challenge Award for KickStart Venture Services. She is responsible for the successful implementation of the EDA grant, awarded jointly to Carolina and Duke, to create an entrepreneurial hub in the Triangle region. Kathleen brings experience in database management, system analysis and user experience to the team, while also supporting operations, finance, communications and event planning for KickStart.

Prior to joining the KickStart team, Kathleen was a project coordinator with Innovate Carolina where she provided database administration and intern support for the Research Services team. In addition, she previously worked with the Southern Environmental Law Center developing its GIS database. Kathleen graduated from the School of Information and Library Science at UNC-Chapel Hill with a master’s in information science in addition to earning her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Carolina as well.
