Champ Gupton joined the office in May 2016. Prior to joining OTC, Champ worked as a Technology Licensing Manager at The Ohio State University from 2012 to 2016, managing IP matters in medicine, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, chemistry, and biochemical engineering. Champ worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Baylor Scott and White Health Cancer Research Institution, where he specialized in pharmaceutical cGMP manufacturing, process development and scale-up, and quality control. He began his intellectual property licensing career as a technology licensing assistant at the University of Texas-Austin Office of Technology Commercialization in 2010. Champ is a member of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) and the Licensing Executive Society (LES). He earned his Bachelor’s in Biology with minors in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and his PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from UT-Austin.
